Let's tell you what is up in our "fussy" promotional world

Hi I’m Denise Buzy-Pucheu Owner of Persnickety Promotions.  I am so happy to finally get to putting together a blog for one of our promotional business.  We do have one for our event and bridal subsidiary The Persnickety Bride and that blog has been up and helping event clients in choosing the right product for their special events.

Although we try to add as much information of the promotional business on our Facebook page, I hope to be able to expand upon the reasons, benefits, and long term impression branding that advertising specialties offer to our clients.  I also hope to give other potential clients ideas for reaching new customers and helping to see the return on investment that a good branding program can do for their business or organization.

Our parent company, DBP & Associates, Inc. is celebrating this year it’s 25th year in business.  I can’t tell you how proud I am to say that we have reached this quarter of a century mark.  I’m also happy that we have stayed “relevant” and “essential” parts of the sales team of a couple of large publishing houses and have maintained great working relationships with our specialty retailers.

I started Persnickety Promotions about 15 years ago. Initially it was created to help us source products for our clients in the publishing and music industry when they had new book and record launches.  Over the years, we added on many other types of businesses as clients.

I had the opportunity to work in the advertising specialty business out of college and called on many accounts in the Westchester, NY and lower Connecticut area.  At the time I handled General Food, Beiersdorf (manufacturers of Nivea products) Gaines Dog food and other advertising agencies and mid size businesses.

Although the business has changed with the availability of shopping on line, there still is such a need for clients to ask questions and consult on what would be the best products to meet their needs.  I consider my firm to be a small version of an ad agency for many of our clients.  When they are looking for a branding program we take our time to really find out what our clients are looking to receive out of the program.

Is it a gift with purchase to keep their brand in front of their purchasing client?  Is it a sales call gift for a new client or a new business opening item to put their name in front of potential clients?  Or it could be an organization having an event or a 5K run.

It doesn’t matter what the need is, it matters that we can hone in on what is the right product, at the right price and delivered on time to meet the client’s needs.  We work closely at what our clients are trying to achieve and then work with them to monitor results.

Just recently we received a Milestone award from the Promotional Products International Association for our continued service to our clients and our d

edication to the industry.
